The Annual UH Systemwide Foodbank Food Drive Campaign STARTS this week and runs through May 19, 2023!
One in six Hawaiʻi residents is food insecure, including 1 in four keiki. Hawaiʻi currently has the second highest rate of child food insecurity in the U.S. Please consider donating to help those in need.
The top five most needed items are:
- Monetary donations.
- Online (preferred). See instructions for giving online. Please designate Kapiʻolani CC when you give.
- For cash or check donations (checks payable to Hawaiʻi Foodbank), please submit to Lyanne Wong or Annie Thomas, Lama 108.
- Canned proteins (like tuna, chicken, other lean meats).
- Canned meals (like soup, stew, chili and pasta).
- Canned fruits and vegetables.
- Bags of rice (in five to ten pound bags).
Bring your food items to Lama Library. Donations boxes are located on the 1st floor:
- Just past the security gate, under the digital sign, and
- Near the Reference Desk.
In 2022, Kapiʻolani CC gave $4,370 in financial support and 361 pounds of food.
Let’s beat that this year!!
