ScienceDirect is a KCC Library Resource. You will need to login to use it from home.
Unfortunately, ScienceDirect does not export citations in APA or MLA format. Follow one of the guides at http://library.kcc.hawaii.edu/resources/citations.php for the style your instructor wants you to use. Here are examples of ScienceDirect article citations:

Click the logo or the link in the upper left on this page, then login if you are off-campus. Or,
From the KCC Library website at library.kcc.hawaii.edu, click Find Articles:
Expand General Research, click the ScienceDirect logo or link, then login if you are off-campus:
For best results, start with Advanced Search:
To limit your search to articles that are available in full-text: Under Source, choose "Subscribed sources". Under Date Range, choose 1995 as the starting year (or later, if you want only the most current articles.) Enter your keywords in the Search box, and click the Search button:
Evaluate the results and add limits or change your keywords to refine your search. If you see white icons on the list, see the previous step for instructions on limiting to full-text articles. Select and email articles to yourself.
